David Harbin Laney
Our little Harbin came early, on December 28th at 7:30 in the evening. He weighed 7 lbs. and 4 oz. and was 21 inches long. He has black hair like Haven did, which does explain my heartburn I had.
David is a family name, so he is going by his middle name, which means 'little bright warrior'. He has been such a good baby thus far. We were able to come home last night and take a few pictures with him and Haven before Haven went with my parents for the night.
I don't have many pictures at this point. (you can go to Steph's blog for more)My water broke Thursday night, so we just kind of left in a hurry and without our video camera and camera. I will be posting more soon!
God is so good. I was really nervous about this one for many reasons, but I finally just really prayed over the whole delivery, doctors, me and Micah, ect. and declared those things and it was amazing to see. We were calm, at peace, and it was actually fun, except for the part where the water literally gushed out every 5 minutes while we waited to do pre-op stuff. AND of course, I had to go to the bathroom, both ends, and wasn't able to. Quite interesting when you have water coming out, and a few contractions to go along with it and your husband laughing at you.:)
Oh, and did I mention that Micah is absolutely awesome? I love him so much--he was and has been such a HUGE help and encouragement through the whole thing. When we were finally in the OR to have the c-section, I was so nervous and just wanted to see and hear him cry to make sure he was really 'there' and nothing was wrong. I just started crying once I heard his little cry and then when Micah brought him over, it was just a special moment that I will never forget as a family. God truly does answer prayer in His timing and we are living proof.
The rest of the hospital experience was a bit strange, as they had no rooms open when I got there, or when I was done with the surgery. And evidentally, I had a nazi for an OR nurse......
All in all, we are grateful to be home and settling in a bit. AND for baby Harbin and Haven.
Okay, I'm on drugs, so hopefully this all makes sense. As I post pics throughout the next few days, maybe I'll become less wordy, or maybe more, who knows, but I know that we have waited for awhile for this and it's a bit surreal right now.
