Pre Birthday Celebration

Haven's birthday is Monday. She got her first present last night from her nana and bapa, since they will be out of town. She really enjoyed it and has wanted a stove FOREVER! My mother in law painted it and got the dishes to match!:) Enjoy pictures. There will be more to come later......

Baby Laney

We have no name yet, although we have some time.....he has been moving a lot, so that's been fun. Instead of watching TV in bed, Micah and I wait for him to kick us.:) It's been such a blast. It's been so long since we have done this (Haven will be 4 on Monday) so it has really been a blessing.
Haven and I have gotten into somewhat of a routine, now that she is in preschool and I am working 1/2 days. We (or I rather) are into naps lately, so we come home, eat lunch and then take a nap. Then we head to the gym with my aunt and work out. It's been fun! I am really looking forward to staying home with this next one, although, as always, I would love to be able to do something from home, just to earn a little extra. Anyone know of any ideas, let me know.

Family Reunion

We had our family reunion this weekend. We went on Friday and stayed the night and then left Saturday afternoon. Here are a few pictures. It was so hot, so that is why we all have red faces. The little boy Haven is with, is sweet Isaac. He is my cousin's son. They bonded real quickly.:)

The Awesome Ms. Grant

This concert last night was so awesome, and as always, she was so good! We got great seats, on the third row, pretty much right in front of her. She walked out, and the first thing I noticed was that I thought she was expecting. I said something to Micah and he gave me a weird look. Weeellll, she announced a few minutes later that she was expecting and that it was TWINS!! I thought it was so neat-o. Evidently, she hasn't told a lot of her audiences just yet, so it was neat to get to hear her good news.
Then she went on to just 'rip it up'. Man, she is so good, my favorite artist. She sang, of course, 'Held', along with her rendition of 'Shout to the Lord' and another favorite worship song of mine, 'In Christ Alone'. Several times I just had to sit in awe, it was so indescribable that someone could have a voice so strong and she really put it out there for everyone.
Anyway, needless to say, it was awesome and I wish I could have stayed afterwards like all the other young girls (who were like 10:)) and get my picture with her and just meet her, but no such luck. Maybe the next time I see her I will be able to tell her how much her music and talent
has meant to me.
I would highly recommend going to her concert.....

A girl after my own heart

This morning, I took Haven to school and we were running late due to the crazy terrential down pour.
Haven: Mommy, what about Hicks?
Me: Hicks?? What in the world is that?
Haven: You know, the place with the donuts?
Me: Oh, Rick's?
Haven: Yeah, can we go to that place with the donuts, and the cookies, and all the cakes? They have donuts, just like the donut shop. (near our home)
Me: Not today, but maybe soon.

There is something about Northwest Arkansas and Rick's. You can't get any better than that. She is truly a girl after my own heart....of course, when I was pregnant with her, I had the worst sweet tooth, more so than normal, so that might have been where she gets her love for it.:)

Haven's First Day

Today was Haven's first day of preschool. She had a great time. She said 'Mommy, I don't need to hold your hand'. Referring to all the other little girls that were holding their mommies hands while they walked to their classroom.:)
Chasing Cars (Grey's Anatomy Version)

For anyone who likes Grey's Anatomy, this video is pretty stinkin' awesome as well as the song! Makes me want it to come on NOW! Only a few more weeks....

Ode to Kristin

This is my dear, best friend Kristin and her 4 boys. She is such a good mommy! I know we don't get the time we would like together with our kiddos, but there's always e-mail, right?:) Haven so enjoys her boys, as we do too. Our baby boy and Copeland, the smallest, will be close I'm sure. We had been praying for us to be able to be pregnant at the same time and I found out right before Copeland was born that I was expecting. God is so good!:) I love this lady and her family. (her husband Jesse was the one taking the picture, he's pretty cool too:)) I am so thankful that the Lord provided her friendship to me at just the right time and the closeness and bond we share is indescribable, a God thing!
Thank you Kristin for who you are to me and the prayers and encouragement. I love you!

Update

It's been a bit since I have updated. Things are going well. Enjoying BBQ a lot lately, pretty much my favorite food these days.:)
We went to Micah's Tae Kwan Do testing on Friday night. He did great, although he doesn't know if he graduated to the next belt until his next class. It was fun to watch--there were a lot of little kids there that were really good. We have thought about getting Haven into it when she is older, if that is something she wants to do.
Saturday we went to Haven's favorite place, the mall, to look for her baby brother some clothes. I guess we are in between seasons, because we couldn't find anything that he will need when he is born. (i.e.--a lot of sweaters, ect. since he'll be born in the winter. )But it was fun to look with Micah.
Tomorrow Haven starts preschool. I will be sure and take pictures to post. She is very excited and I am excited for her! I know she'll learn a lot and enjoy her new friends she makes.

Boy, Boys, Boys

Haven and I went out for a bit today and shopped for fun boy clothes. Although we didn't buy anything just yet, it was so fun! A tad weird b.c I am so used to going to the girls clothes section and looking, and we did that too, but it was so fun to see all the fun little things. I can't wait to start buying stuff.
I asked Haven what she wanted to name her baby brother, and she said 'Oh, you mean my baby, the one that is in your tummy? It's going to come out of your tummy, right and your belly will be broken, right?' I of course tried not to laugh, but it was so sweet. Didn't tell me a name though.....

Baby Laney #2 is......

a boy. We found out today and are so excited. God is so good--everything looks great, due date is still the same, ect. ect. We will have so much fun looking for boy stuff!!:)
And for Haven, we told her, and she thought about it, took it all in, and then said 'Mom, can my baby be Ethan Paul?' (her new newphew that she saw a few weeks ago) I think she's excited though.
Speaking of Haven, you can look at some of the great pics Mindi took this past weekend. She did a great job!
Oh, and names, we have NO idea yet!:) But it should be fun finding and praying for just the right one.

Blessed are the feet....(and candy)

These are a few pictures from a birthday party we went to a week ago. They always have a pinata to break, due to their heritage, so it's always fun for Haven to get candy. (as she doesn't get any at home) The sweet little girl is the birthday girl, Brightly.
Also, her sweet foot is a picture she took on Saturday when Ms. Mindi was here to take her picture. She got a bit bored and decided to take a picture of just about everything. I love her little feet! I pray that one day she will use them for His kingdom!!

Another weekend

Well, the weekend went great. We did a lot of family time, just Micah, Haven and I. Mindi came over Saturday and we had our pictures done. We had a lot of fun, and it was nice just to be at our house and not go anywhere. Haven did great but got a bit tired by the end of taking pictures, so we had her use our camera and take pictures. She ended up taking 74 pictures in like 5 minutes.:) I can't wait to see the finished product. Should be fun!
Tomorrow is the day we find out what we are having. We're excited and nervous all at the same time. And I haven't been sleeping well these past few weeks, so it's been a bit crazy in the mornings........
Have a great Monday!

Sweet Friends

One of my dear best friends from grade school and I got together for lunch today. It was so good to see her and catch up. This picture is of Haven and Natasha's daughter, Trinity. They are truly best friends and for so many friends that Haven has that are boys, it's a nice change for her to have such a close girlfriend. We love their family dearly. As you can see, Haven and Trinity are best buds, even though they don't get to see each other as often as we would all like.:)

Ethan and Micah

Here is a picture (finally) of Ethan Paul and Micah. For some reason, I was picture happy and didn't get any of me holding him. But Micah sure looks good with him. Ethan looks just like my brother!:) He's so sweet and I miss him already.

Pictures

Haven and I had a fashion show this weekend to try on some of her new school dresses. She dressed herself and 'posed' as well. She was very proud.

First thing this morning

Haven is laying in my bed with me until I 'wake up' and the first thing she says is 'Mommy, your belly is big and fat'.:) I was wondering when she would start to notice. I debated on whether to tell her now or wait, and since Micah wasn't there, I decided to wait a few more weeks.:) It was sweet and made me smile at such an early hour this morning.

Pool Party

We went to the Gray's house last night for a pool party with some other friends from church. Haven had a blast swimming. I think she has swam every day this week so far. I think today we are going to take a break. But she decided she wanted to climb up the slide and go down. She did that several times and finally I said 'Haven, are you going to go down?' And she said 'No mom, I was just kidding' as she climbed back down the slide. She finally went down a few times when someone caught her in the water and another held her hand as she went down. (I was not one of the helpers, as I had the luxury of holding baby Copeland as he slept) She then came over and said 'Mommy, I need to go potty, I have poo poo and it's halfway out'. I about laughed right there, but she was so serious, so we ran to the bathroom and it ended up she didn't have any and didn't even need to go. Kids these days....It was fun and enjoyable, but we were both tired when we got home, as was Micah, since he had to work late and missed the party altogether. It has already been a long week and it's only Wednesday.
I am excited however, Stephanie's cousin Mindi, the one whose name is over to the right of this post, is going to possibly be taking some pictues of us, Haven, and my growing belly. I'm excited. The last time we had family pictures was when Haven was a year old. We look forward to it and meeting Mindi, although I feel like I already know her from her blog.....should be a fun time. She is such a good photographer. I am not, however, I do enjoy taking pics of Haven...
