Brewer No More

So, Ronnie Brewer went in the first round of the NBA Draft last night, picked #14 overall and headed to Utah Jazz. He is a juinor, so he could've stayed with us a year longer, but oh well. He'll do great....

Here we come...

We are going to be leaving on our Atlanta trip on Friday morning. We will be taking the ol laptop, so we might be able to post some pictures on here as we go. Haven is staying with her Nana and Nana G, so it will be Micah and I and I am so excited to be able to spend some quality time with Micah.
Is it just me (which it very well could be) or does everything refer back to a 'Friends' episode? I've been doing that a lot lately........

Another year

Another year to learn and grow and learn some more. It's been a long journey in such a short time, but one I would do over again if I knew how I would grow and mature in Him, not just in age, but in my spirit and heart.
So, here's to the first day of summer.

My rant

Okay, so Micah and I own the duplex we currently live in and we rent out the other side. We always have people putting their Garage Sale signs in our yard, since it's on the corner. I HATE that! They don't even come and ask. Usually they are small signs, but yesterday, they proceeded to put a HUGE sign in our front yard and this morning when I went to leave, I couldn't even see if there were any cars coming b.c I couldn't see from the HUGE sign in my way. BLAH. Some people and their lack of curtesy. I think in the 4 years we have lived there, only one person has asked if they can post their sign, and to that we said 'Sure!'. But every other person just thinks it's okay, that it's city property or something.......so, sorry if I offended any of you that make a habit of posting garage sale signs in people's yards.......it's just nice to have someone ask you first....done with my rant.

Got my new camera. It's the bomb. Haven't taken any pictures yet...will post as soon as I figure out what to take a picture of.

Happy (Early) Birthday to Me!

Went to see Over the Hedge Friday night with Micah and Haven. Haven did great. It was her first 'real' movie in a theater. We shared popcorn and she had a great time!
Went to a wedding Saturday in Gentry--it was good and Haven had a good time running around chasing a dog. (it was at someone's house) We then ate cake and punch and left and went to have dinner at Catfish Hole with the family.
On a random note, I am hoping to get more pictures up on this thing--Micah and I bought myself a digital camera for my upcoming birthday. I am so excited. It should come either tomorrow or Wednesday. Canon A610. Saweet!

A change

I decided to have my template changed. A little tired of the black and this reminded me of summer and swimming pools.
On the agenda for this weekend:

A wedding for a coworker of Micah's
Family time
And more family time
Maybe watch a movie or two.....

Wal-Mart is AWESOME!!!

Okay, so many of you may not agree, but in this instance, I'm sure you'll agree. My hubby has been working at the Shareholder's meeting the past few days, and he just called and put me on speaker phone so I could hear the new A.I., Taylor Hicks. It was fun!! Heard him sing 'Takin' it to the Streets'. Micah also said Beyonce and Mary J. Blige were going to be there as well today. Yesterday, evidentally, they had Jessica Simpson and Halle Berry. So, they may overwork their associates some, as I can also attest to that, but they can sure bring in some awesome people for their annual meetings. The concert the other night was last year's A.I., Carrie Underwood, and Rascall Flatts. I wanted to go, but wasn't feeling up to it. Heard is was really good though.
So, just thought I'd share. Makes me want to work there again, so I can get those kind of perks.....ugghh, not really.:) I'm enjoying my post-Wal-Mart days.
