Yesterday was our 8 year anniversary. Time flies when you're having fun!! I love you Micah!!

Lost during 'Lost'

So, last night was the first time I watched 'Lost' with my husband. I'm usually not a big fan, but I was laying on the couch anyway and didn't want to get up, so I ended up watching it with him. I was pretty much lost during the whole thing, as you really have to watch it every week to know what's going on. He was real patient with me as I asked question after question about things. He himself didn't get a whole lot of answers, but as I told him, the show's about people stranded on an island, they have to have some question and suspense saved up for the next year's episodes. So it left a lot of question for him as well. I might just end up having to watch it with him next year, but it tends to interfere with my A.I. Speaking of which, Taylor Hicks is the new American Idol. I was hoping he would outsing Katharine. She didn't do it for me. She seemed to fake and not authentic enough for me, plus she annoyed the heck out of me!! So, now our shows are pretty much over for the summer--time to enjoy our evenings outside or in the swimming pool.:)

I was laying down with Haven this weekend so she would sleep. (didn't work) But anyway, I had spanked her after repeated times of telling her to be still and quiet. (as I wanted to sleep too) She cried pretty hard and then said 'Mommy, I'm sorry' in her sweet little voice, and I knew she meant it. I told her that I forgave her, but that she needed to obey. She said 'Mommy, you hurt me' and I preceeded to tell her that she hurts me when she doesn't obey, ect. and then she said 'Mommy, when I am a mommy and you are a little girl, and you get out of your bed and disobey, I'll spank you.' She was oh-so-matter-of-fact while saying this.:)
Had a good Mother's Day. She made me a card, along with some bath salts at church and when I picked her up, she was so proud to give it to me. I then went to Wal-Mart to get a few things on our way home and I saw a yummy cookie cake that said 'Happy Mother's Day' and bought it for myself. When we got in the car, she looked in the bag in the back seat and saw that there was a cake. She said 'Mommy, is that for me?' and I said 'No Haven, mommy bought it for me as a gift to myself (that sounds a bit selfish, huh??:)) and Haven then said 'But mommy, it has an 'H' on it'. Meaning that anything that has an 'H' on it automatically means 'Haven' and it's for her.

I had this today at McAlister's. It was about 12:45 so I was really hungry, and now I am paying for it. Plus I had a tea to wash it down with, so that just added to it. But man, it was yummy!

I was totally bummed watching Grey's last night. As 8th-gradish as it sounds, I so wanted McDreamy and Meredith to turn out, but as it looks now, not so much. There is a two-show season finale coming up the next two Sundays, so I'm hoping for a good outcome, but I'm sure that it will leave me hanging until season 3. AND that fact that we don't have cable, but rabbit ears, and the whole show was fuzzy....oh well, I guess I can't complain, at least I was able to watch it.

In other news, I got test results back from the rheumotologist, and I don't have lupus! I do have a factor deficiency in my blood according to the DR. and they want to refer me to a hematologist. I am going to cross that road when I come to it.

Another Havenism

Okay, we were on our way to work this morning and Haven wanted her bracelets that were out of reach in the back seat. She said
'Mom, can you get my bracelets'.
I said 'I'll try, but I'm driving and it's hard for me to reach back there'.
She then replies, 'Mom, don't try, just do it.'.:)
